A Mine Of Coal - 1382 Words

In a mine of coal, it seemed for a while that I was the speck of gold, The bright one, the entertaining one, the one who offered others a glimmer of hope after anguish and despair. I was the class clown who would suavely state something incredibly witty, resulting in a chuckle from people of all personality types. I walked with people of all kinds-- be it the jocks at the top of the food chain, or Pokemon warriors. Whoever I believed had good intentions, I would allow to walk on my side. Yes, I was kicked out of class on a daily basis. Yes, I had more saturday schools than days in the year. Yes, I was absolutely, undeniably annoying at points, and although, ultimately I’m glad I’ve changed, to be quite honest I do miss that aspect of my personality a bit, as it was such a pleasant period in my life. A period where I had no inhibitions, and stopped at nothing to experience my God-given free will. Some felt as if I was over the top, and completely annoying, which absolutely had no effect on me. Anxiety was to me as sadness is to sunshine-- completely out of my capability. I loved my spunk, and knew that it was my defining trait. That is†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦. until I hit my ninth grade year. Long story short, I had a scandal, which spread like a wildfire, and caused me to lose my reputation I had worked so diligently on to perfect.
